While I'm waiting for my external dump O2 to arrive (and the full day of porting work ahead of me), I thought I'd take a little survey to see whos suffering with me and how bad and take the time to rant a little.

So just how bad is your boost spike/creep?

Just for some info on mine. I have a 20psi boost gauge. The MBC is set to 19psi (hate my halman), the wastegate starts to open at like 17psi (it actually holds 19psi for like 5 miliseconds or just long enough for me to notice).

3rd gear roll on from like 5,000rpm, forget it. If I mat the throttle to the floor the gauge needle will spike and wrap around almost back into vacuum. So that leaves me with just gentlely and progressively putting it to the floor, in which case it will only peg down to the "B" in the word "boost".

A 3rd gear roll from 2,000rpm will hold 19psi from 2,700-3,000rpm. At 4,000rpm its just over 20psi. At 5,500rpm its at the "T" in "boost" and by redline its at the second "O" in "boost".

Needless to say I can't even drive my car hard anymore. I just putt around like your grandma. My right foot is my only method of boost control. With that said, I might as well throw in a tech question. Do you think I should skip the port/external dump and just get a real external WG?

Funny, I've got a s16g with a 2g O2, 3" turbo back and my boost creep is minimal. I'm set at 14psi right now since I don't have bigger injectors and I'm waiting on a 6AN fitting for my fuel rail to install my AEM FPR.

Before the 2g 02 I had massive boost creep too, I'd hit 20psi in a heartbeat. I just ported the heck out of my turbine housing and wastegate, smoothed the enterance to the O2 housing as much as I could and ported the bottom side as muc as I could. I haven't hammered the throttle much yet but I am creeping to about 16 psi if I leave it floored past 5k rpms. I'm not getting knock though (at 8k feet of elevation) so I'm feeling good.

Shouldn't this be in the chat forum though?

Set to 19 psi, by 4500 RPM I'm at 20, by 5500, i'm around 28 psi with 10'ish counts of knock, needless to say, I don't go above 4500.

I ported my 14b and, coupled with a TurboXS high performance boost controller, it holds rock-solid boost.
