I just spent a good hour trying to get near you guys times. I smell something fishy. While I'm not the best driver, I truly do not believe I'm 3-4 seconds behind you guys on the track. Are you sure the only thing you guys are doing is oil change and tires?

I have pics of some of there times. I wouldn't worry about it.

what times r u getting?
we turn out lap times over and over and over and some maybe a few tenths faster but if u keep doing it for a while u can get really good at the correct line, and the ghost shows you where to go. if you cant get any faster times, try driving into a corner deeper and braking harder, or enter and exit the corner at different angles, or brake and accelerate at different points on the track.

remember, brake b4 u start turning and accelerate at the apex(center) of the corner.
start with the above and if u keep trying new things ull get faster

Exactly.

Everyone here is on the honor system about mods. We are all adults and Its just a game so I would hope that no one is cheating.

I practiced for a long time and there was a lot of times when I didnt think that I could go any faster but I still managed to pull off faster times.

I can agree there's always someone faster. After a few autocrosses and seeing the guys who are a full 4-5 seconds faster I know my driving skill isn't the greatest. Best time I was pulling in the evo was a 49.3xx after multiple laps. If I drove any harder after that I was hitting walls. Pulled a 48.5xx in the sti. I can think of maybe one place I could eek a second out but that's just one second. Not really worried about anything but the fact I'm not up to par with average drivers. You guys gone to any driving schools? Congrats to all who've gone sub 47's you guys are really cooking some asphalt. I have a curiosity question before I go. About how long on average did it take you guys to pull those times? Good luck on the next race to all!!

ZC it took me a couple of laps to get down to the 1:46 range. I was in the 1:47 for a while then I just started driving different lines, nipping a little here and tryign to create less understeer.
The biggest thing I did with the car is use SS race tires. I was using the hard race tires and all i could muster was a low 1:54. I changed the tires to the ss and two laps later i had a 1:48. I got used to how the car handled and boom I was off. With the SS you can brake later and get on the gas a lot sooner and harder. This car just sticks.
I had a couple of laps where every turn I was hitting the inside curb then the car was comign all the way out to the outside curb and just barely staying on that curb. Its cool watchign the replays of it.
For all that say its fishy that myself and John went into the 1:45s, I understand where you are coming from, but realize this, we have NO lives!

my orginal best time was 1'41. There is a way to use the walls to your advantage on this course and I don't know why but staying on course I could never get even close to that time + it didn't record that time for some stupid ass reason so thats why I didn't send that time in...

if you rode the wall perfectly there is a way to cut off at least .5-1.5 seconds of a couple of turns each one makes a difference in the end.

I'd say I put in a solid 7-10 hours of practice in 2 days.

I put in my 1'45 time about 2 horus into practice on day 2 and after about 1-2 more hours I said "that's th best I"m going to get".

Exactly you'd play for almost an hour with nothing, then on that one lap you brake perfectly on one corner and there goes another .2-.5 seconds.

at least 3 seperate occasions i did about 30-40 laps...

everyone used S5 tires right?

You guys don't have a "3 on or void" rule? Anyone can cut through the grass on particular chicanes, etc.

As much as I would like to implement this rule there Kris, I don't think its possible. I like what we have right now since all the times were pretty close

Whatever gets you the fastest lap is fine in my book. Sometimes you think cutting through can get you the fastest lap, but taking the right racing line is faster.

I sent 1 time for each course...

I really only got 10 laps on each one... I have a big dsm and like 5 other kidns of cars meet tommorow im planning that needs attention

I sent in my times. No clue how good I did on the rally course. I suck at those.

I only got times from 4 different people this week. :(

I think that who ever didnt submit times for this week or last should be kicked off from the teams. I'm sure there are other people who wouldnt mind doing this racing. I know I have a friend who wants to be in on it.

I found it tougher to race 2 tracks instead of one. I'm down for doing one track at a time if you guys wants to also.
