< Bob Slidel >Well, I gotta ask you, why doesn't the air just go right into the engine?< /Bob Slidel >

Does the turbine deal with the goddamned air so the engineers don't have to?

I'd label the "out into the engine" just simply "into the engine" To me its less confusing at first glance, but take more of a concensus before you change anything.

yeah...that really didn't do much for me :notgood:

hehe...ya got me!!!

That pic is t3h rox0rz :rocks:

Looks pretty good, you may want to make some arrows showing which direction the air flows throughout the turbo

yeah...because in and out just isn't good enough :toobad:

I was being sarcastic total, sorry to bust your bubble.

Have fun with your speech class, I hate school.

I don't mean to be a dick but part of the speech class is to "know your audience". ;) Unless your class has a bunch of 18-22 year olds who love cars, you are going to bore them. I still have some people ask me what a turbo is when I tell them I have a turbocharged car. :toobad: You can have an informative speech, but you'd probably be better off with "how a car engine works" instead of 'how a turbo works". But anyways, I'm not your teacher so have fun in your class! :thumb:

Here are the pics above in color, if anyone needs them.

I don't like the top diagram, it makes the turbo look so far away from the engine... If I didn't know anything about turbo's, I would think "Oh the turbo is usually right after the catalytic converter"
