Ok I have a small dent about 3x3 on my hood, dead center right above where the latch locks the hood down. I was thinking instead of repairing it, grabbing a cheap or making my own fiberglass hood scoop, and cutting out a spot to let some air come in and cool the turbo. Would this work or is something wrong with my theory?

Ive known about the greyforest mod, I dont like how it looks and I don't want to start an argument about if its useful, but I was thinking something further forward on the hood.

That vent looks nice, I would do it but I dont really think I have that much skill in bodywork/fabrication yet. Maybe Im better off just buying a junked hood and paint it like my car.

Yeah i would go with buying a junkyard hood, or if your really careful you can get the dent out by opening the hood and tapping it out from the underneath with a hammer( wrap a towel around the end of it so it doesnt mess with your paint). i did it with a dent on my talon the was right before the hump and it looks great now, took like 20 minutes because i wanted it pefect so i took my time. G'Luck with what ever you decide to do, but IMO I would stay way from making a fiberglass hood scoop yourself, and cutting into your hood, would look....way too rice.

yea i agree, i dont like the Greyforest hood either. Looks like nostruls. LOL. I want to do something with my hood also, I think if you made something close to an srt-4 hood it would loks pretty sweet. Maybe arch it upwards more in refrence to an STI's scoop... just an idea...
