LONG STORY GUYS
I had a 1995 talon 2 bolt at 400 whp. LOVED it. Had it for a month. Parked it on my parents property for the winter while I went away on vacation. Xmas a drink driver ran through a concrete wall and through my car. We took what we could from bolt ons but the motor and trans were toast from the impact.
Bought a 1990 talon.
has a 92 7 bolt in it. Transfered whatever parts i could over. Had to buy a new DSM link v3 since it didnt match the ecu.
Mechanic told me that I would never be happy with the 90 since I could not really use anything from it. Wiring is different . Spark plug wires are different. the coils are different. He said it would cost an addition 2000 on top of it all to make the car be right.
My question is why sooo much ? I fell in love with the 1990. What are my options. I bought a carbon fiber hood and nice ground effects for it already. I would really like someone who knows about dsms to shine in and educate me.
Things it has now. Mishimoto rad and fan. t3 turbo and turbonetics exhaust manifold. some square custom intake. 1000 rc injectors. stage 4 competition clutch in it. all custom piping. v3 dsm link. Stage 1 transmission from sheppards ( spelling ? ) carbon fiber hood and trunk. sway bars. Roll cage. AEM air fuel. trans cooler. Im sure theres alot more but I cant think off the top of my head.
Just wanted to add. I am not scared into investing money into this car. Even if it takes a couple years. I LOVE THIS CAR. If I need to save for a stage 3 dsm grave motor I will.
