I just pulled off the interstate and came to a light and my car was running really horribly sitting at idle. about 500 rpms. kept sounding like it was going to die. But if i gave it some gas it smoothed right out. So i get home let it sit for a minute and start it back up and it dies instantly.. Start it up again same thing. It will only start running if I stay on the gas. My friend found a hole in the top of the throttle body that sounded like it was sucking in air. He covered it with his hand and it ran fine. Uncovered it and it died.

So i looked in the hole and it is kinda looks like its threaded. I dont know. But my question is.. What is it? And how what do I do?

Thats where your BISS screw is supposed to go, it must have fallen out, happened to my friends talon, except his idled at like 2500 rpms, its no biggie, just go to a junkyard or something and get another for now, then order a new one, you want one with a fresh o-ring, the screws cost like $8. Ill see if I can find a pic real quick, hang on.

cool thanks so much for the REALLY fast replies. can I get one at advance? or do i have to special order it? And I have to drive this car tomorrow. Will it hurt it?

Its most definately gonna be special order, unless by some freakish chance they have one, which they probably wont.

Ya, I wouldnt do it, I baby mine, I wouldnt run mine if it didnt have it, just order it from Mitsu and wait 2 or 3 days, and have someone bring you to get it, just my opinion.

well the way i did it was i disconnected the neg battery for about ten min or so to reset your ECU and while it was disconnected i screwed it in all the way and backed it our two full turns then i hooked it back up turned the car on let it run and warm up turn all accessories off a/c radio and no fans are running, then you have to ground the plug thats on your fire wall close to your battery (not really sure what the plug is called) and has one pin on it ground it and in side the car under the dash on the driver side next to your fuse box is another plug thats your data log plug its a white one thats free to move around and you have to ground the 3rd pin on that as well and then you adjust your idiol. also try vfaq.com my good buddy brandon gave me this info and i worked great!! his sn is DSMREVOLUTION he's an einstien

Please don't buy that screw from a vendor. It's a 2 dollar screw from JNZ tuning (a vendor, yes but not marked up) and 3.07 at my local dealership. And just go buy a #5 o ring like stated above.

I got one from a local junk yard.. For the low low price of.... Free! Guy said. Oh! Well, bolts are free. Word!

Fixed my idle surge too.. Thats cool and all. But i just ordered an ISC.. dagnamit..
