Ah well I was driving to pick up the G/F who lives about a mile away from me today, and get on the nice stretch of road up to her house and think I just fixed my car yesterday and I can actually DRIVE now, so I accelerate up to about 50ish pretty quick, then back off. While I was accelerating I heard a funky noice, and thought I heard something fly underneath the car I was like...oh crap...... Then the wheel starts vibrating REALLY bad. So I get to her house like 15 seconds later, turn the car off, shake goes away. Turn the car to the On posistion but didn't start the engine. Wheel starts vibrating. I'm like thats wierd. So I check under the hood, all looks ok. Go inside to help her out, gone maybe a minute or two, come back to a giant green puddle under my car WTF. So I open the hood to inspect, my AC fan is missing a fin, and there seems to be a big dent in my radiator. I didn't get to look at it very much because we were in a hurry, but to my amazement I see a SOCKET in the bottom of the fan! I'm like WTF I CHECKED AFTER THE GASKET SWITCH! But not good enough, a socket got left in there, and I think it created a hole in my radiator. So i'm probably gonna need a new radiator now and a new fan. So where is the best place to get a radiator for cheap?

I got a pretty good one from my shop, forget at the moment where we got it from. Ill edit this post with which one I got...but if I where you I would just get something like the Visteon Racing Rad. Its a real good Rad. and it comes with nice fans too, only thing to do is bolt it all in and clamp hoses back on. Only problem is its nice little price tagLOL$450 if my memory serves me correctly.

I got mine from the radiator connection. I actually got it off of ebay but it was from the radiator connection. They have a feedback of over 4000 and they have a 100% possitive. I got mine for around $95 brand new with shipping and everything. I can send you a link if you like.

Radiator Barn has some damn good radiators for something like $115 shipped. Each of their radiators are all metal too, unlike the plastic/metal OE ones. Radiator Barn even has aluminum racing radiators with pre-installed slimline fans, if you wanted to go that route.

Check them out...

All of their radiators come with lifetime warranties and they usually ship their radiators out pretty quickly.

you can get an alum racing rad from gripforce.com, ask for Jay just email or call the guy he has tons of them laying around in his warehouse i think they are like 250$, and he has new nicely polished oem radiators for like 100$, hes a good guy, tell him Bill from florida sent ya.

I need something as cheap as possible that will get the job done. How much will a used one from a junkyard play. Will a 1g radiator work in a 2g?

Funny you made this thread, I just got my new radiator yesterday after blowing a hole in it when a small piece of my bell housing shot off last week and cracked a nice nickle sized hole in it.

I went to REX Radiator and got a High Gloss Black finished performance radiator for $174.00 out the door (tax included).

Excellent deal, and looks amazing.

Check it out.

kinda hard to fix a hole in a radiator with duck tape. Can I just take a torch to it and melt it down to close the hole? or will that ruin it?

on mythbuster they they cracked an egg into the radiator and it patched up the holes =D only use it temporary though

Ok well the hole in my radiator is alittle smaller than a dime I think, is this fixable? How much would a radiator shop cost to fix this?

ok well I just picked up a new radiator for 150 bucks. Its all metal and its black :) very nice looking. Also I am going tomorrow to pick up a new fan blade for the drivers side fan, can I drive the car out to Norco to pick up the fan blade without worrying about the car overheating.

Wow...I don't feel so bad.. I poked a hole in mine puttin a fan back on yesterday. luckily Autozone had one for 140 bucks. that'll teach me.

nice bump, but yah the new radiator is working just fine, no overheating problems or anything :)
