hks vpc....what does it do exactly?

ok iv searched and searched and searched and cannot find anything on the hks vpc....what does it do exactly? im asking because i will be getting one for about 200 bucks which is nuts i know....but an explaination? thanks

i believe that is so you can recirculate your the hks bov. but if my memory serves correctly all you have to do is get the rubber tubing for an auto store. because when you get the hks ssqv it already comes with the fitting to recirculate back into your intake.

A vpc is actually a vein pressure converter. It is used to convert a mas system over to speed density system. Instead of having the mas, you will have a map sensor and an ait sensor. It also has compensation for larger injectors. It is a descent system but is slowly becoming outdated.

Overall purpose is to be able to vent the bov and run larger injectors.

sorry about that i miss understood the question. all i was trying to state was dont worry about the sidenote when you buy the hks bov that says for vechiles w/o vpc.

It is a vein pressure converter it uses a speed dinsity system to measure the air flow and allows u to run an open atmosphure bov if u can get one get it i was going to get one to vent to atmosphure buy no one sells it' any more so what i am gonna have to do is get a gm mas sinser and the maf translater to vent to atmosphure.
