Alright, got my car back, runs OK, but blows some black smoke and is very, veyr slow. Has a check engine light with code 31. Now this is Knock sensor, right? Question is, does it mean the knock sensor is bad (my guess) or that the knock sensor is getting some very bad readings?
What are symptoms of it? Could it cause the car to be very slow? I am thinking it could because if it is reading wrong and think's it detonating it could pull way too much timing.... ???
But, of course, all conjecture, that's why I am digressing to the experts on here.
TIA for your thoughts and advice.
PS: Also smells in the car a little like something is burning sometimes but the temp gauge is fine?
