HKS SSQV opinions??...anyone

I recently ran into a problem with my OE 1G BPV and reason being is the diaphram inside popped. normally you cannot blow into the vaccuum line on the "hat" but mine you can blow through it with out resistance. I had to pressure test for boost leaks and so I found it, right inside the 1G bpv. it goes from the pressure hole and out through the vacuum port. I guess it just got old?? either way I bought a HKS SSQV and am wondering how people like theirs? I'm also using an HKS S-AFR with the EIDS function on.

i got one on my 2g, i love it, its good quality but i dont have a recirc kit so its a little rich after you let off but i would consider the recirc kit, 30 on ebay.....

First off, SORRY to everyone about this post, but the HKS SSQV sounds terrific vented. With mine recirculated, I think I have a VERY slight kink in my recirculation tube, and it causes an awesome fluttering sound (Ahhhh... Bittersweet compressor surge...). From a rice-free standpoint, it holds boost great for me and I've never had a major problem with it, except for small boost leaks at the adjust screw and vacuum line.

SQV is a great BOV. Get some snapring pliers to make install easier.

The hks will nevarrrr leak! ITs one of the best bov's on the market, its either hks or tial, if someone offered me to trade my hks for a tial I would consider it, if someone offered me to trade my hks for a greddy type s, Id say take a shit.

The screw on the back of my ssqv leaked when i did a boost leak test, but a lil sealer and that this worked great

I remember the discussion we had about that a while back.

The SSQV works just fine. I have mine recirculated. I'm not one to be an attention whore

A lil bit of sealer always helps and if your polish then you know you have tons of duck tape sitting around hehe.

HKS??? Yeah right, the Stock 2g BOV is the way to go, its extra light weight so it will shave off some 1/4 times. You can flip it upside down and use it as a shot glass. You can throw it across the room and it will not break. Now thats quality.......LMFAO!!!!
