I found out the recirculation kit is about $55. if I buy the BOV used for $80, is that a good deal? And is there anything that can go wrong with a used one?

Its a good deal if its working however, mine went bad after 4 years and wouldn't hold any amount of boost. If you want a good bov while keeping the cost down get a Evo IX bov, there won't be an added cost of the recirc kit either.

Lol... You should be able to get the recirculation fitting for ~20$. All you need that point is a piece of hose.

yea thats a lil much for a recirc fitting 20 bucks sounds about right and its a good bov my brother is running the ssqv v1 now since 05 with no problems im using the ssqv v2 and have been for 2 1/2 yrs no problems.

Im running an hks bov sequential! But I am having problems with it! not with the bov its self, but the snap ring holding it on the intercooler piping is to "thick", anyone have any ideas on how to hold it on differently? Can't seem to find a thinner one.

to tell you the truth i modified my Black hks bov version 2 ssqv, i took it to work and drilled 2 holes with a CNC machine (that we build) and i got the precise length bolts and nuts and can bolt the bov on its flange and tested it fully and thats not all i have it on my 2g recirculated and its loud but if it was vented it creates too much attention, too bad i have to upgrade my lower intercooler pipes and upper intake pipes as well and cant do the same with the flange that is already welded on there.

but i guess it gives me a chance to snap on my new genuine HKS SSQV ver 3 on there the right way!

sigh so i just found out even $80 is too much cause my hours got cut at work is there a cheap (almost free) alternative? i'm also missing the recirculating hose so my car dies if i shift into neutral at high speeds. so i guess i need the recirculating hose... sigh please let me know!

I can't find any used EVO IX bov's, but there are some aftermarket BOV's for the EVO for like 100 bucks on craigslist. Would the aftermarket ones work? And is there any way to check if a BOV is bad?
