2G HKS SSQ BOV?

There has been alot of talk about where to recyle the air to the intake from the BOV or to have it dumop into the atmosphere. I have the HKS SSQ Blow off valve and my car idle is all messed up and sometimes it stalls when i put it into neutral from high RPM'S. People have told me that it is because of the blow off valve that i have. I was wondering what my best bet to do it in my situation. I could either buy a diffrent BOV which recirculates the air and buy the intake with the dump tube on it, or i can use the set up i have now and get a SAFC and tune it to not stall etc. please let me know which is the better way in doing things.

Anyways, you can buy a dump kit for the HKS blowoff valvue. Just go to the hks website, and get the part number and order it from prostreetonline.com Then you can recirculate. Its only like 15 bucks. Though from what I read you don't have a intake to dump into? (INJEN intake?)

Even if you buy a SAFC, its "NOT GOING TO FIX YOUR PROBLEM". The only sure way to dump to the atmosphere is to have a Maft translator.

What setup are you running?
I'm guessing Upper Intercooler piping w/ HKS, and a Injen intake with no dump hole.

I have the dejon tool uper intercooler pipes with the HKS Blowoff valve. i have a custom intake on the car right now without the dump tube but just recentally i have bought a dejon tool intake and that came without a dump tube also. My question is do you think i am better off to return the intake for one with the dump tube one it or to just run it without the dump tube. Also what is a Maft translator and how does it work.

Your choice of BOV is a good one.

I would keep the intake with the BOV dump and buy the re-circulation kit.

If you wast info on the MAFT search as we have a gazillion threads on it.

in fact of you go to the tuning forum you will probably see some threads on it.

Maft translator alows you to use a GM maf instead of your stock Maf,black box located next to your airfilter. Like L2RTSiAWD said "If you want info on the MAFT do a search". If you bought your stuff from DEJON, theres even a a minote info there on the MAFT. If you bought your intake pipe there, see if you could return it? I'm not sure you'll be able too, but im sure you can sell it in the classifides on here or www.dsmtrader.com.

Your car would probably run better if you put the stock intake back on also. Untill you can get one you can dump into or figure out the maft.

The HKS is a awsome blow off, Im not sure on about adjusting the screw though ;also sure a search would turn something up for you.

For best performance, the HKS needs to be adjusted to match the amount of boost that you are running.

I didn't on mine.

I didn't haev to adjust mine either... I bought it used for 150 with flange attach already...

I fiddled with that adjustment for a little bit, until I realized nothing was being adjusted. Go figure.

lil bit tighter, worked fine . . . now i got my HKS and its all the same - - - at first it was stalling, i adjusted the screw and made it a bit tighter, and now im rolling hard, boosting 19PSI
