HKS or Greddy?

Which BOV do you suggest the HKS SSQV or the Greddy RS? I'm in the market for a bov and I can't decide which. My friend with a wrx says I should get the HKS but my other friend with a 1g eclipse thinks I should get the Greddy. Soooo, any opinions would be helpful.

I know the HKS SSQV is the best for WRX IMO(what I am running) it is not to loud, but still an attention getter. However that is on a WRX, on a DSM I dont know if the same is true.

Im running the HKS and love it, never had any problems with it to date and am running 17-18psi daily w/o any issues.

Well they both do the same thing you want. But it matters what you want to do, Plus cost, HKS is more also you will need to buy a recirc kit if you decide to recirc, whick I recommed. People will say the HKS ssqv will never leak which is true but then people will say those push types like the greddy can leak. Which is true but I dont think you will boost like 30 pounds on the street. So it just matters, how much you want to spend. Me personally i always loved the HKS SSQV, I had it on my AWD Talon, my Audi tt, my wrx, and my Turbo eclipse.

i bought a SSQ for my starion and it holds high boost pretty good...and hks is a good trustworthy band in the first place.

hks sucks wang, i sold it and bought the greddy RS and have never been happier

ive used HKS SSQV and Greddy Type S.. both were great and gave me no problems.. there will be a handful that will say X brand sucks and another saying this X brand sucks.. but never enough to justify that either is better or faulty.. then it usually comes to brand loyalty..

they ahve a few diff colors mines silver/polished and its probably one of the best BOVs there is.


and greddys really suck if they have that adjuster on the top they almost ALWAYS strip out... ive seen like 5+ with bolts in them instead...

I have the HKS on mine and I love the sound. Both BOVs will perform well on most applications so either way you should be happy.
