Can adding a power flow intake and full greddy intercooler pipe kit make my car run at a higher boost level?

i don't think so. especially with the extra intercooler pipe, with a stock turbo, seems like that would just make it harder for the turbo to spool, and doesn't the bov or wastegate or whatever these have, go off at a certain psi? or that not this car? i just got a dsm, so i am not sure how they are set up. but i do know, if the intercooler pipe is to big it will slow the boost...with the stock turbo.

Lets get started. First things first. The stock turbo is more than capable of flowing air. The T25 flow 250cfm's at 15psi. A 14b flows 405cfm's at 15psi also. Either of these stock turbo's is more than capable of filling the entire intake system and motor while running. Changing pipes increases your boost because the turbo is not working at expanding those stock rubber pipes. If you have ever seen a car build boost while not moving ( stutter box ), you can see the rubber piping expand under pressure. You will notice a huge difference in throttle response and you will also have more consistent boost. The logic behind the turbo not being able to flow enough is absurd. Here's why. The stock turbo can fill the engine with enough air to produce 210hp at 6000rpm's. That's alot of air. Some boost goes into expanding those stock pipes, but all the rest goes to power production. Even a front-mount intercooler is beneficial to a stock turbo, so there's no point to not upgrade. Get the new pipes and stop worrying about it. They do make a difference.

That's bogus. Way off.

First of all, a turbo doesn't flow anything at XX psi. It might have a MAX flow of that at 15 psi, but that doesn't mean that's what you're always going to flow.

Second of all, if you meant max flow, those numbers aren't right.

I askbecause i added these parts and my boost gauges reads a spike at about 16 psi and after what feels almost like a clutch slipping happens and it levels off around 14...is it my guage? is the guage right and im hitting fuel cut? anything?

its the carbon fiber autometer 30-0-30. would my boost be going high enough to be hitting fuel cut?

if i was wrong about the flow, then its cause i am used to wrx's, and i know bigger pipes slow the spool, probably since the rex actually has PIPES, i didn't realize dsm, had rubber tubes...or whatever. also, if you put a front mount on them ti does the same cause its more distance...put thats another topic. but still having bigger pipes it would take the turbo more time to fill up that space....i don't know if the pipes are bigger or not, but i don't see how it could cause more boost, since the car is set to max at a certain boost anyway...right?

Exactly im getting creepage. i also have a type-s bov. i would think that adding a pipe kit would allow the turbo to spool easier and faster. It iliminates all that nasty plastic bendy shit into nice smooth mandrel bends. it just breaths better. So i was just thinknig that allowing the turbo to "breathe" better would increase the boost a couple of pounds.:thumb: :dsm:
