Im thinking about ditching my low rise eclipse spoiler and getting the talon high rise or boomerang if you will and painting it white to match the car. My question is does anyone know if it matches the stock third brake light hole or would i need to fill that too and redrill it?

The holes will NOT match.

I don't have these cars at home to measure anymore but maybe these pics will give you a visual to compare to your Eclipse 3-piece spoiler.

Some of these pics were used to make templates to place the holes correctly when I was thinking of selling my spare high-rise.

I'm going to warn ya, while i love the talon spoiler on an eclipse, the reason i took mine off my talon was due to the horrible blind spots it gave me, so just be warry of those. Hate for you to do all that work only for you to hate the view out of your rear view mirror.

haha you make a good point but i love that spoiler so i think ill put up with it LOL im going to paint it white to match the car and mount it do i really need to drill into the hatch like that??? that looks like a decent size hole up near the glass for the two side conectors

Look at the bottom right corner of the first pic. The Talon 2gb high-rise has mounting bumps that protrude into the hatch in order to make the angle of the bolts point down.

Your hatch is a 2Ga so it will not have the correct mounting dimples, bumps and holes formed into the inner metal skin of the hatch for any 2Gb spoiler. You are on your own for this install. You won't find those mounting points hidden under the outer surface so you will need to rig your own attachment.

You could always shave out the mounting bumps on the spoiler.

this is true do you guys think that instead of drilling into the side of the hatch i could use 3m tape like how vw spoilers are held on LOL heat up the tape put it on the sides then stick it to the hatch? idk just a thought i had but def mount the center piece

Does anyone have a high rise talon spoiler for sale? Better yet, the entire hatch area? It seems that it would be easier to swap out the whold are, rather than drilling holes for the new wing? I cannot for the life of me find a single listing on this forum!! If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated...

I have 2 of them. LOL. Not sure id sell but if the price was right?

Yes and dont paint it white either. It will look rediculous. Also to chime on the blind spot I didnt even notice it was there but then again I never used my rear view mirror cause I never did anything wrong.

Do it and you wont regret it for sure.

Thanks for these pictures, I guess I'll be buying a used hatch versus having a body shop fill those massive holes.
