High Flow cat question

They don't have e-check where I'm at in Ohio, but they DO have random roadside inspections... You don't want to be driving around without a cat!

We have them here in New Jersey too. A friend got pulled over by one and they gave him a books worth of tickets. They cited him for not having a cat and took away his inspection sticker. He got a lawyer and ended up pleading all his tickets down to $1200 plus he had to show official documentation from a state inspection facility that he got a cat in place.

Thats insane. Word to the wise: If your moving to a new state, check the laws around BEFORE you move. I would pick up and leave a state in a second for some bs like that. We need a "modified car persons guide to totally crappy states you do not want to live in under any circumstances." Wicked g@y. :thumbdown

People sell generic highflow cats on Ebay for like $30. Do any of you know if they are 3" or not? And also, if I get a straight pipe, will the car get really loud?

Whoa, dont throw OHio in that mix. Cleveland area cops could give 2 sh#ts about cats and what not. And we have 94 octane available everywhere. Aslo, in some areas like Columbus, they dont even have E-check?!?! You can dump you exaust out behind the wheel well and be legal!

Doesn't Road Race sell test pipes with the cat heat shield welded on? You cant tell that you are not using a cat from a visual inspection.
