Sup guys,

I'm currently in the process of installing a system in my car. My question is simple, I'm using a different slightly thicker gauge wire (than the factory wire) to run off my 3Way Pioneer Speakers that I have on the door's so it can lead directly to the amp. My question is, is there any way to conceal the speaker wire running between the door and the car?

I noticed there's a rubber hose that leads from the door to a harness on the car. While I was able to run the speaker wire through that rubber hose I was unsuccessful in getting the wire from inside of that hose to the inside of the car. I did disconnect the harness that's connected to the car and tried shimmying the wire via a clothes hanger to give me better leverage but nothing. I don't want to have a loose wire hanging. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I use the close hanger method also a really thick zip tie (cable tie) works good too if there is a plug that has all the wires in it plugged inbetween the inside and outside of the car you will have to make a notch in the plug to run the wire around it. But it is a pain running wires through the doors and usually not worth it. Especially if you are using cheap rca s, an amp with bad filtering and a cheap deck. But if you have really high end stuff then yes you will want to run new leads, of thicker guage and high quality oxygen free copper wire. Lik Stinger stuff.

When I ran the wire for my car, I think I pulled the rubber boot out from the door and possibly the car to aid in getting the wire through. A metal coat hanger comes in very hand; just tape the end of the wire to it and pull it through.

Yea I did that. I actually disconnected the rubber boot at both ends (from the car and the door) and while I was able to pull the speaker wire through door and through the hose I was unable to get it into the car even with a metal coat hangar.
