HID with projector headlights

I have a pair of ebay projectors on my car with an HID kit. First of all the HID ballast will not fit into there .5 inch whole. I ended up porting it, so i can put the ballast in there. Then I was all :D to get ready to turn it on. I couldn't see a damn thing!:ohdamn: My foglights were used to light up the road. I am going back to OEM.

LOL

Funny, I'm so damn sure it did look different and the glare is ####ing blinding. HID kits need to be illegal in all cities, states, provinces and countries.

Jesus everyone takes everything so serious. I notice more OE HID's on OE cars with MORE glare than aftermarket setups. NNBS Escalade's are terrible for glare.

I hate to open any thread on here regarding HID's or anything technical these days, I been a member on here for 6+ years and always come back to lurk even though I do not have a DSM anymore.

But stupid comments like yours and many others, make me want to never come back.

Agreed^. The most annoying HID's I find driving on the road are stock equipment in cadillacs, mercedes, BMW, and Audi. I got pulled over and recieved a 120$ citation for my HIDs because they are "blue" (8ks). Fought it, judge walked out to my car said they looked white to him, but 2 cops convinced her otherwise...took their side instead of her own eyes. So I paid fine, kept them in and stayed out of the area as much as possible haha

I take lighting rather seriously, sorry.

I do find many stock vehicles to have the lights poorly aimed with glare yea. The biggest offenders of this seem to be the SUVs with HIDs (Volvos, RDX/MDX, etc).

With the amount of money I have sunk into lighting on my Talon you could say I'm a bit nuts.

Not trying to deviate off the point of this discussion, but Ive done a little research on the headlights and I was wondering if the 98 eclipse halo headlights use the H1 HID bulb? Ive have seen a few sets that say thats the bulb they use, but I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of any other type HID bulb being used. Thanks.
