well my friend has a 2g and it hesitates on start up. it cranks for like 5 seconds then starts kinda like its not getting fuel thats why i posted here.but anyways the longer the car sits the longer it takes to start up but if you give it gas while cranking it fires right up. any ideas guys?

is the fuel pump stock? if so it might be time for an upgrade, also if the fuel filter hasn't been changed in ages time to change that out also.

If it starts well after you goose the throttle, I sort of doubt it's anything fuel related prior to the injectors, but I'd go ahead and check the FPR and fuel filter for leaks anyway and if you have the tools to do it easily, you might check your fuel pressure at the rail during cranking.

Do you have any stored DTCs? Particularly for IAT/MAS or CTS?

worked on it for a couple hours last nite...come to find out he had some computer in it from ebay with some chips or some shit in it.so took it out and its a little better.

Whoa whoa.

As in the ECU?

Did it have a DSMLink chip? It may just not be tuned, and you may have gotten lucky with it :thumb:.

Picture?
