helps with lugs

my lugs are 12mm x 1.5 right not 12mm x 1.25

also should i go with spline or acorn style?

from what i've heard spline is the only way to go.
I got some of those tuner lugs and when I went to change my brake rotors out the tuner lug allen wrench litterally twisted inside the socket. I had to go buy some harder metal allen wrenches and finally got them off but now i'm sorta timid about cranking the lugs on there any tighter. the guy at the wheel shop told me splines are where it's at.
