help with wastgate location

now i have o2 dump to atmosphere and tubular manifold running internal wastgate on the 16g.

i'm going fp green soon but not sure if i want to go internal or external. im thinking to go external, but should i get rid of my o2 and get one that's made for external or change my tubular manifold to one that's made for external?

not sure if internal gate will hold high boost pressure.

plus, what's reccomended for external manifold or external 02 housing. i cant seem to find a good mitsu flange for going external. most are t3/t4 or somet other ones.

Go external. Punishment makes good stuff. I ran the recirculated 02 external wastegate housing...worked awsome.

the easiest (on the wallet & to work on) would be to change the O2 housing flanged for external gates. recirculated or not is your choice to make.

The size of the 'gate needed is based on your turbo and boost needs, larger turbo on lower boost means a bigger wastegate to bypass enough exhaust gas to keep the boost low.

38mm tial worked perfectly for me. Those knock offs blow, i dont care what anyone says.

I'm on stock long block except 272's. wondering if internal gate is fine around 20-25psi, will internal gate hold. for those that have ran the fp green or have experience, i was wondering if there's any problem running internal, I know external is the way to go, but if internal is in anyway of use then I might just invest in that.

go with a Tial external wastegate
