I have a set of KYB AGX struts and Megan Racing Springs which say they are a 1.9-2 inch drop all uninstalled. I've been told that 2" drop will kill the struts and that the spring rate of the springs is too much for them also. The spring rates are 350lbs/in front, 250lbs/in rear. Stock is like 146lbs.
Is this true?
I can't find any posts from people who've used the megans.

looked all over RRE's Website, and didnt see that article, you find a link?
KYB suggests not going over 1.5" when dropping.
I dont want to buy new springs if I can use these ones. I often hear that people who drop their cars dont get the drop they were looking for, so I've been looking for a post about megan's springs to see if they are in fact as they claim to be, a 2" drop, because, I would actually prefer a bit less of one to avoid alignment issues, the rear camber kits for 1g's are ridiculously expensive.

I'd never heard of having too high a spring rate for KYBs before. I know some autocrossers run 500lb/in on coilovers in front and 350+ in the rear. My car wont see any autocrossing, just they occassional pothole and train track......

The above mentioned arcticle I looked for but could not find. I have however read it. It states in it that, unless you go with quality shocks like Koni yellows then the you will kill your shocks quickly. I have had illuminas on another car before and loved them, but in this arcticle the Tokico's were specificaly mentioned as not being enough. I will keep looking for it and post a like if I find it. Good Luck.

kybs are just fine its recomended not a warning. my friends got kyb agxs and his car was droped 3inches no leakes no nothing and its been about 6 months on maine roads.
