I read around on the pcv article written by Calan and it seems to me that my catch can should NOT be leaking air under boost. My car does leak air from it. My catch can is hooked up with the breather and the pcv line together. There is no line hooked up for a vacuum source. When it leaks air, it leaks it from the top of the catch can. I also heard that you can run a check valve if the factory one is stuck open and doesn't close durring boost, is this correct?
Thanks,

- Austin

When I BLT mine air comes out of the breather. I have mine setup like your where I run the PCV and breather to the catch can but mine is sealed and has a vacuum source from the intake pipe. I think what your reading is you need a check valve if your source is exposed to boost(ex. IM) If you run your PCV and breather to an open catch can, there is really no point in a check valve to go anywhere because it will just block the flow when the engine is running.

So this is normal? It just doesn't seem right that all that air is escaping.
