I'm trying to install my new gr-2's and springs, and for some reason the control arm does not match up to the dimple on the strut. It's off by about a quarter inch and looks like it needs to be modified or twisted to fit.. Has anyone else ever had this problem? The install guide on vfaq says that the control arm must not be high enough... but the only way to get the control arm on it would be to twist it which isnt going to happen... Anybody have any ideas.. this is very frustrating! Please help!!

While the spring must sit on the lower perch in exactly a certain way, the rubber isolator between the on top of the spring and the mounting plate should rotate freely. That's where you twist.
