Ok here's the deal. My 95 GST's turbo is starting to go.. I'm gettin the blue smoke and shes not spooling like she used to. So I dug through the many of dsm parts I have aquired over the years and found a 14b. Well, here's the deal. This turbo isn't in that great of shape either. It is, but it needs to be cleaned so bad... So I figure I have an extra turbo, that won't put the car down... why not tear it apart!!!! Well, I'm stuck..i can't figure out what to do next to get it apart. Give me some help guys ASAP.

Putting it back together is the problem. You have a 20,000 rpm balancing setup?

Great title, too. It should really draw in the people who can really help.

Grab another used turbo that's not junked.

Well my main goal was just as a learning experience. I wasn't thinking that i was truely going to be able to get it back on a car...but i figured ripping it apart would be fun. I'm going to hopefully upgrade to a 50trim or something...the cars going into the garage for the winter soon anyway. And maybe I do have a 20,000rpm balancer....hmmmm.........

1. Tap the compressor end of the shaft until the turbine shaft comes loose and pull it out. It's held in by the friction of the oil seal/piston ring.

2. Take some needle nose pliers and grab the inner ~1.5" O.D. on the compressor side to remove the "compressor seal". It's held in by the friction and compression of the o-ring.

3. The rest is self explainatory. Clean everything, inspect for wear (using micrometers annd a bore gage).
