HELP the new guy.....

the craigslist special I bought a few weeks back has a few small issues. the heater fan controls are not working at all. Is this common for these cars? and is there a free online wiring diagram so I might try to troubleshoot this little bugger?

Oh BTW we have a dyno pull scheduled for tomorrow, once we get some numbers and the little bugs worked out of the car, she will be up for sale. It's the one in my avatar

It doesn't work as in doesn't blow out the right spot or doesn't blow air at all?

No air blowing or fan noise at all ;( cold up here in the NW must have heat and window defrost !

probably a fuse...check all with a test light is prob the easiest way

I've had 3 1gs and fortunately never had a blower motor or switch failures
I'd start with the fuse, and go from there. Blower motors are simple to test with 12v power/ground.

See if there is power to the blower motor, if so and not working 99% of the time it just needs replaced. You can tap it to try and get it to work.

good fuse, power headed toward the switch. Want to ensure it was not disconnected when the stereo installer was in there putting stereo in.
