yes i have been reading alot of fourms and looking alot up on google but just am not quite understanding the 4g64? i am shooting for a goal of 450-500. i want to build a 2.3 stoker and have done some homework but need some help still.

What year of car can i find this crank in? i am confused on this part

I know i will need different pistons for my build and not to sure what i should get? stroker pistons right? I also know you use standard rods but also dont know what i should get? and i have been looking at STM for the rods and pistons. Let me know if any of this is wrong. Any help is great. thanks

The 4g64 is most commonly found in some Galants, NT Eclipse Spyder, and 3g Eclipse. The early 00's Outlanders also have the 4g64. I actually have an Outlander 4g64 crank laying around FYI.

Basically what your doing is taking a crank with 100mm of stroke, and stuffing it into a block meant for an 88mm stroke. Because the 64 crank has 12mm more stroke (6 up and 6 down), the 64 block is 6mm taller. So in order to use the 64 crank in a 63 block, the pistons need to be 6mm shorter. The 63 and 64 rods are the same length so any 63 specific rod will work. But since the only stroker pistons on the market are forged, you can't use a stock rod. You have to use a forged rod such as Eagle or Crower.

Hope that clears up some confusion.

yea i have read that i can get one in a spider? Galants have them also i haven't seen that. what year? if i get a crank from one of those it should be a OEM crank right?

thanks for the link

thanks WES. and ok i see so any rod will work thats forged? but not our stock oem ones. also sense the 64 crank is 6mm bigger thats why you need the stoker pistons right?

also i need some more help on my rod and piston combo? any input and help on this would be great. thanks
