2G HELP no power to sunroof motor

Sunroof motor would work sometimes and sometimes not. Got one today and put it in and nothing. The motor isnt getting any power, I tried 2 switchs, 2 motors and they do not move at all. (not the sunroof, but the actual motor itself doesnt even try to spin) its like its not getting any power. Now my sunroof leaked a few times into that area of the roof and I'm wondering if it damaged something because also my Vanity mirror lights also do not work, however the lights on the rear view do work. I checked the Sunroof fews and it looks fine though I am goilng to pick one up just to be safe. Any other thoughts?

Mine is flakey too. When the sunroof acts up, try the window switches (raise/lower the window). This is not fix but when my roof acts up, toggling the window switches makes it work again.

well i cant get the motor to work at all right now.

No power to sunroof motor or vanity light mirros, or even the sunroof fuse box spot.

I used a test light on the car today. I get a connection on the rear view mirror lights, but no connection at the sunroof motor terminals, or the vanity mirror lights.

So i decided to check the sunroof fuse, which was fine. Then i thought hm... Let me check the fuse terminals, so i touch the test light to the fuse terminals (in the sunroof spot) and nothing. Where do i go from here if the fuse panel itself has no power?????

nevermind Im just a retard Ignition has to be on before it gets power.

It sounds to me to be a ground problem.... Take a look at a wiring diagram, wouldn't surprise me if they both (sunroof and light) ground at the same spot.

another qiuck check would be to throw a DVOM (digital volt-ohm meter) on your power line. An easy check to see if you're getting power.

Also, check your fuses.
