Here is what I have to work with. There are no other options or equipment. So this is what I have to deal with. Before I go routing wires and installing shit, I wanted a few opinions from some audio gurus. OK, now onto the equipment.

Alpine CDM-7874 HU 20x4 (however, I am willing to bet it's closer to 10W RMS)
Alpine 3541 2ch amp. 35x2 RMS
INfinity Reference 5.25" going in the doors
Infinity Kappa 3.5" going into the dash.

Now, should I wire up the 5.25's to the amp, and the 3.5's to the head unit? Or just wire up the left side in parallel, OR series, and do the same for the right side, then wire it up in 2 ch. mode to the amp?

I'm figuring, if i wire it up the first way, the doors will get an honest 35W, while the dash speakers are only going to get 10W. Wiring up left and right side in parallel, would yield a 2ohm load on the amp, but give me prolly 30-35W per speaker on each side, but also run the amp pretty hot (which is going under the seat). Wiring up the left/right speakers in series, would only yield 17W per speaker.

What do you guys recommend?

hook up your door speakers to your amp because those are more vital and will give you the best sound... If you hook up the dash speakers they will be over running the door speakers. The dash speakers are mainly for high range and the doors are mid and low range. With the head unit powering your dash speakers and the amp powering the door speakers it should sound fairly good. Just my .02 cents.

not in parallel, in stereo!

not series not parallel, not bridged, good old stereo...

If you can find some bass blockers for the dash speakers even better 500k on up (later is fine) and low pass the 5.25s at about 3.5 - 4k later on as well (Fmods?)

I agree with Attack Eagle.... you definatly want to get some bass blockers for those 3.5's or they will end up sounding like crap.

That response didn't help one bit. I've got 2 choices, Coke or Pepsi. Your response "try Dr. Pepper." ???????????

Wire the door speakers to your amp and the dash speakers to your head unit but be sure to use bass blockers on at least the dash speakers or you will end up blowing them.
