I currently own a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, with 116k original miles, two-owners(im the second) all service records on file. Anyways, my goal is to get around 300-325 WHP. I currently have a boost gauge, a worthless narrowband, and a voltmeter as my gauges(i have a stereo system). I also have a ebay intake system with the K&N Filter. The rest is stock... Anyway, i have looked over the basic HP upgrade guide under the tech section of the site. Anyone got the cheapest route to 325 WHP? Can this be attained with a 14b turbo, or will a 16g absoultely be needed? What ALL hardware should i be planning to buy for this setup, is a FMIC necessary?(if so, i will have to buy a 98-99 Front bumper correct?). Anyways just looking for some random inputs on what direction to go. Thanks

Get yourself a wideband first, dsmlink or safc2, 650cc injectors, at least a 190 lph fuel pump, and an evo316g, and a full 3" turboback. This setup alone will get you into your desired power goal. A 14b maxed out will do mid 200's at most so this will obviously not fit the bill.
As for the intercooler, a supra smic will work, or you can always just wait and go fmic. VR speed is coming out with a new re-designed short-route kit very soon in the $300 area shipped so wait for it. You won't need a 97-99 front bumper, you can retain your current one, but trimming is required with either bumper for any fmic to fit.

Dang im about only $1200 away from everything LOL. I think i am going to purchase a MBC and set my boost to 15PSI, does this sound good? should raise my HP a little bit right? im running about 13PSI right now without one. Seems like my 2g BOV is holding up, i thought it was supposed to be a pile of crap after anything but stock PSI?

Stock psi can be around 14 even depending what minor mods are done, like if you open up the air flow with better pipes and what not. Average is about 12-14 from everywhere ive read on here. A 14b will be maxed out at about 275. Heres a little read up on what you should want to get for your goals. turbo upgrades

This should give you an idea of what you can look for as far as turbos and what you want to get. If you want just at 300hp about you can probally get away with 16g (whatever size you choose) 550s, 190 pump rewired, exhaust and safc, no need for the dsm link (this is what i plan on doing). Thats just my 2 cents, i agree with dsmj for some of it but not all.

what about my clutch? once i attain 300 to the wheels will i need a new clutch? It was just replaced about 2k miles ago.

Seriously. Why does ever third new DSM owner have to come on here and ask how to get 300 horsepower? The whole site is about building up and increasing output. Don't ask again. Read the answers that have already been posted, over and over again. Start with the Upgrade Path that's on the first page.
