help me im a moron

i just started relacing the timing belt on my NT, and i forgot to put a allen wrench in the little hole of the tensioner... what can i use to get this thing to compress?

If its out of the car, a vise would work. If its in the car, you may have to work backwards and get that wrench in there. I spent way too many hours replacing my clutch master cylinder because I would install one part before the other.

When this happens you just use the Allthread Tool to DE-TENSION the Tensioner & re-insert Pin (which you should be using to set Tension gap anyway) - That's what the Allthread Tool does - It compresses the Tensioner - which BTW - DETENSIONS the belt.

My only comment on the Moron bit would be that IF indeed you are - Know that you are DEFINITELY among your peers here on these boards...
