2G HELP ME find out what this red light is

im going to make this short and simple becayse im embarrassed i even have to ask something so simple. ive looked through and cqnt find anything regarding this so,

1999 eclipse rs 420a automatic

theres a little red light on the dummy panel where cruise control should be. i dont understand what the hell this is. there a red and i believe blue wire leading to the light but i have never ever seen it on. dont have automatic doors, but i think the little box on the firewall is an alarm system. but its never been hooked up. are they related? someone PLEASE HELP i cant find it in any manual, anywhere. anyone come across this yet?

Sounds like a led for an aftermarket alarm.

Is there a rats nest of wires under the dash?

I've seen knock sensors wired to a light for user ref without link.

Without pic or detailed description of where it is we can't tell. Sounds like the low washer fluid light used on the turbo model. (Or the A/T temp for AWD also on the turbo model). Not all bulbs are functional for all models.
