help glow shift shift light install

I've spent all day Googling and researching with still no luck. Its s 3 wire design red,blk green has rpm setting dial on the back. I did as instructions day to cut the 2 wires in the back for 4 cylinder. Red to switched power blk to ground. Now green signal wire I've tried everywhere with no luck. Ping 18,pin 21 pin 109 and even white wire at power transistor. I am going crazy here trying to figure this out. Does anyone have any ideas or input? Rome read on dash and reading on link. Did you ever get this to work? Im hooking up my glowshift shift light now and looking for tach signal.
