Whats up guys im new to this website and new to my car.
I recently bought a 96 gsx from a buddy of mine as a project.
The car starts and idles rough and everytime I get to 2500 rpms
it cuts out & smells like fuel. basicly bogs out.
I have a 14b turbo no leaks and a bigger fuel pump walbaro 255 I belive. Like I said im new to this car and any help would be greatly appreciated.
I called a couple shops and they said it could be a sensor but id rather not go spend the money on parts till i have somewhat of an idea to what it is.

HELP!!!!!!

Are you sure your intercooler piping is connected tightly everywhere? Thats right about where I hit fuel cut when I bought my car, turbo was blowing to the atmosphere and intake was trying to suck naturally aspirated air, hit fuel cut at 2500 rpm and about 45mph top speed under said symptoms.

I recently found out that my fuel pump is a walbro 341 running with a zero gage wiring and a stock fuel pressure regulator with stock injectors ?? Could this be my problem?

Yes.

Anything larger than a walbro 190, you should have an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (AFPR). Otherwise there is a great chance you are overrunning the stock fuel pressure regulator.

Or it could be a bad maf or a combo.

If the maf is in good condition, it could be the ecu. I had a cutout issue for the longest, I posted a few about it.
