I just completed my 14B swap on my 1998 GSX and everything went in and looks great. The problem is that when you get on the car it boosts 0ver 30 psi! My autometer gauge maxed out, i dont even know what the car went up to... What could this problem be? My boost controller is turned ALL THE WAY DOWN! and worked perfictly untill the swap. Im so pissed because i have to babey the car right now so that it wont build boost that high. The last thing i want to do is blow this motor up! if anyone has any ideas of what the problem is let me know.

just fyi i hate dsmtuners, its always giving me the cannot find this page thing, otherwise i would have answered you earlier...(this doesnt mean i hate the people here, or the people who own dsmtuners.com, it means i hate the company that provides service to dsmtuners.com,....this site is always going down.....)

anyways, disconnect your mbc and put a line directly from a boost sorce to your wastegate acuator, my guess is that the new turbo came with a bad wastegate acuator, so if you still have this problem its the wastegate, if not you have a leak somewhere in that vacume line or in your mbc like i did when i first made mine...(used a 1/16 inch drill bit over a 1/32 inch...)

MBC = Manual Boost Controller? anyways i checked the controller and even put it on backwards just to check it but i did NOT check running the line from the actuator to the turbo itself w/o the controller on it so that is a good idea i will do that tomorrow other than that if it is the wastegate accuator do you guys think the dealer will still carry that? since it is off of a 1990-1994 stock turbo i hope that they can still get it...

if not you can get an adjustable one from slowboyracing.com but its like 100 bucks...
