Heaviest oil that could be used?

What is the heaviest oil that can be used? I'm doing a head gasket replace and head rebuild, summer temps seems to be staring around the high 90's

420A motors are good with 5w/30, but if your a rodder, 20w/50 is about as thick as you want.

I'm simply doing 10w30 all year around - from 5 minus degrees in the winter to 100 plus in the summer with no problems.

5W-30 or 10W-30 should be fine, but like stated 20w-50 is the max.

I use 5w-30 in the winter, and 10w-30 in the summer.

Down here in the south with 100* days Ive always used 10w-40 with good results. Some other local buddies say the VR1 20w-50 oil works really good. I was thinking of trying it out.

Here in Florida, in my wife's 96 Eagle Talon N/T, I use 10W-30 in winter months and 10W-40 in the summer.

Here in Kansas it gets hella hot as well. I run 15w-50 in the summer.

There's no need for 20w-50 in high 90's. It gets to about 100 here sometimes and mostly in the 90's. I run 10w-30 vr1 racing synthetic with no issues. I'd only run 20w-50 if your engine was built for it. Rotella 5w-40 is also a good choice.

Rotella 15W-40 almost all year round. When it gets cold in the Winter here I drop it down. I built my motor though and the clearances weren't super tight, so 15W-40 is perfect for my engine.
