So I went on a church retreat over the weekend and left my car in my driveway for the whole weekend. I get home and start it up to head out for the night. Everything is fine besides I'm freezing. So, I flick on the heat and crank it up to 4. As soon as i do, i hear this loud noise. It's like you can hear some kind of motor trying to run or something. It sounds like it's coming from under the dash on the passenger side. And it's fricken LOUD. :notgood: What do you think this can be?

anyone have any ideas? is there some kind of motor that is on the passenger side that makes the fans run?

Yeah, thats your blower motor, it blows heat/cold air through your vents. Its really easy to get at, you don't have to take any dash apart, just a plastic foot guard under the glove box, and then you can see the bottom of the blower motor. 3 screws to take it out. If you don't feel like replacing it, this is what I do:

- Turn the fan switch on full blast
- Hit the motor from underneath until it works.

Oh yeah on a side note, it will probably make an annoying sound every time its on now ;)

p.s. just realized you have a 2g. might be a little different than I mentioned, but worth a shot.
