I have a 95 GST and for.

I ripped off my headliner... now before you ask why..

1.) Went to get my windows tented and the front was coming down and the guy who was going to tent them said he wouldn't do the front since it was sagging.

2.) My Sun roof got stuck in an upward position and called Mitsu, and they said it would be 600 to get it replaced... so you all probably know what i did...

3.) So after messing around with the sun roof I had grease on the headliner and the front was tore up.. so i just took it off.

Now I would like to buy a brand new headliner, preferebly in a black color but im not sure what i have to choose from.. does anyone know where i can get a new headliner and if i can get it in a black color?

Thanks in advance

i re-did mine in black but that was using new material on the old one.
If you litteraly ripped yours out ya prob trashed it.
trader? classifyeds? get a stock one and redo it in black.

how much are they from mitsu?

i redid mine in alcantara a while ago and its holding up great. put a few layers of glue on the headliner board and the material itsself then let them dry. this way you wont get glue sopts that soak through, they will just spread out over the existing layer of glue.

i also sudjest looking into doing it with a harder surface, such as black vinal(spelling?). If you put a harder surface up there, things tend to not stick to it, such as smoke, and dirt. You can just wipe if off with dash cleaner when it gets dirty. I'm a smoker and I plan to do this soon...look inside a honda and you'll see what i'm talking about.

if you're interested in an easy to clean surface, there is a company out there making Carbon Fiber headliners for our car. i don't remember where i sas it (sorry) and i don't know if they make one for the sunroof guys. but it'd be a pretty interesting and different style than most people have. have fun... and try not to abuse the car. ;)

i picked up white marine vinyl to go with my black and white scheme. It was 15 bucks to fit over the entire thing 2 square yards. (6'x6'). Just go to joanne fabrics and they should have multiple colors. I have a few ripples and stuff, but it looks a lot better than the ugly old shit.
