Headlights keep blowing out.

My low beams keep blowing out. I suck when it comes to electrical diagnosis. Is there any common problem I need to check out?

Fuse or bulb? is it always both at the same time?

Fuses are fine.

And yea, my low beams keep getting blown out.

are they aftermarket headlight assemblies or xenon bulbs? gettin your skin oil on those bulbs will make them so suprisingly fast (which is why they usually come with sterile wipes), low quality aftermarket headlights dont seal well and condesation and humidity will shorten the life of bulbs as well. and make sure you are gettin the right bulbs

I did notice they started blowing out after the bad storms we've had here. I have the gray cap on and I don't touch the glass part of the bulb when putting them in. I also don't notice any condensation inside my headlight. They are Sylvania Silverstars. I had a pair of them in there for about 9 months without a problem then all of a sudden they keep going out.

Look for the plastic holder which contains the contacts for the bulb to be melted on the ground side. Replacements are on the rack at AutoZone.

You are referring to the part that the bulb actually plugs into, correct?

Yuppers. The plastic they used on them is absolute crap.

im having the same problem on my other car but im pretty sure my prob is moisture because there is a crack in my headlight assembly but you can take some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel and clean the bulb just before installing it. that should get the oils off of it. Thanks
