Hey guys, yesterday night while I was tightening my power steering belt, I accidentally touched the alt with a wrench and a big spark came of it. I thought not much of it and went inside the car after my job was "done" and tested out the car (to see if the loud squeal I heard at startup was gone) no squeal. But then, I turned on the headlights and the horn went off and wouldn't stop until i finally disconnected my battery. I started the car again to see if maybe i had just done something stupid but now, (after starting the car with no problem) I tried to turn the headlights off and again, the horn went off and I rushed under my hood to disconnect the battery (it was the middle of the night and I'm sure the neighbors didn't want to hear a horn) I called it quits till today where I would try to see what was going on. I forgot about the horn problem until it popped up again. First the headlights wouldn't turn off (no horn this time) then I noticed my radio didn't work, I disconnected the battery started the car up again and the horn came...so again, off to the battery. I forget how many times I did this but eventually I came to this conclusion;
( THIS IS THE PROBLEM FOR THOSE THAT DON'T WANT TO READ THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH) The headlights stay on when turned on, when tried to turn off or when they turn on the horn may kick in until I disconnect the battery, also, the radio, fan, and all power options are not functional (meaning windows, locks and seats) to clear it up though , all the interior lights and backup, high beams etc still work fine.
Please let me know what I can do to solve this, because I have seen other similar posts but those only seemed to either have headlights and horn problem but power options still functional, or headlights or horn or headlights with non-functioning interior lights.
