Looks ok, i am not sure what you are using, but those ports are extremely rough for a first grind. Also you are wasting your time with the casting flaws inside the head. Watch your grinding bit around the seats, it looks like you nicked them a few times.

Its much easier to start a clean head.

Agreed. U shoulda had it tanked first. It's ok for a start but you gotta ways to go. Head works is an aquired art. You have to really have decades of experience with airflow and fluid dynamics if you want to get the most out of your head, which is why it pays to leave it to the professionals, imo.

knife edge the dividers between the valves and get a proper set of head porting tools. looks like your using a deburring bit and getting alot of chatter from it.

otherwise not to bad so far. i would tape the edges of the valve seats to protect them. also get a set of inside/outside calipers to make sure everything is even

Just finished work on my head a few weeks back - Be patient with what you're doing and don't get in a rush. Looks like you're using an aggressive bit and hitting it kind of fast. Get a less aggressive bit and take your time on those ports. As Bryan expertly pointed out - watch your seats. You don't want any sealing issues.

Polish it up once you're finished! Don't leave it looking like Freddy. :p
