Head stud issue

i went to put my new arp head stud on my block and they didn't tighten right. but i put the stock one in the block and they tighten fine.. was my problem here.... thanks guys

i order the head studs for a 93-98 eagle talon tsi tubro 7 bolt engine

Did you clean the holes out? Its not much to it either it goes in or not, check for debris, mine went in just fine.

sure you put the correct end into the block?

just saying its an easy mistake if youre not paying the most attention

Is the new head warped? Take a straight edge and see if its flat.

1. Clean the holes
2. Make sure correct end is going in
3. Try taking a plyers or something similar and lightly grab on to it and see if it is hanging up on something.

take the 2 bolts and lay them thread over thread to make sure they are the same pitch (they should be). Also take them and look at the shaft size to make sure that they are roughly the same size. If there is a noticable difference between to the two the problem solved... quick and easy checks first..
