Well...friend of mine had engaging troubles with ACT flywheel...thing is when you pushed the clutch pedal, the clutch actually started to disengage at about 75% of the travel (hope you understand) we took out the tranny again, compared side by side the OEM flywheel to the ACT, and the step height was fine...but the height between where the flywheel sits on the crank and where the pressure plate sits it's about 1/4" shorter than OEM (measurements where taking by eye :) ) Well...I decided to test one of those flywheels on my car and had the same problem..solved it by shimming the fork pivot ball and installing a 3/4" longer slave cylinder stem...a 1/4" longer did nothing, a 1/2" longer almost solved it, but the adjustemnt rod was all the way out, and a 3/4" longer one taked care of it...the clutch fork is like 1 or 2 mm away from the fork stop when clutch is pressed, but it's fine there...have you ever had or see this happening? thanks

What usually happens is that the clutch pedal linkage is worn out as well as the pivot ball. The ball is only a couple bucks. I doubt it's the flywheel, but who knows - any company can send out a bad product every now and then. Here's some good info to read:

no really...the car was running fine...I just changed flywheel and that happened...and every single ACT flywheel I've seen has this...when you compare it side by side with OEM the OEM is like 1/4" taller...but the step height is fine...check that when you could...I'll try to take a pic.
