to put a new 2.0 in my gsx ### parts need to be switched for turbo to bolt on smoothly

I have no clue what you want to know.... Please make it easy for everyone to understand so you get faster help.

i am wondering to put a new engine in my car and switch it to turbo what parts are different or may need upgraded to put on the stock turbo to a new engine in other words my engine blew and i found a new n/t but i would like to put my stock turbo on what do i need to do

What year car is this? Why bother putting in a n/t engine again if you want a turbo? Just get a turbo motor, if you have a 4g63 n/t now it will bolt right in, all you need is an ecu and some wiring changes (or) a new wiring harness. Installing a turbo on a non turbo block if you want any kind of power is really not the right path to go down.

On 1gs there are not many differences between the n/t and turbo, but the pistons are one! on 2g there is nothing the same

his motor is blown in his gsx and he has a n/t motor and wants to know if he can put it in from what i understand

exactly i just wanted to know what parts i had to change to make the turbo work as i already have a turbo engine that has mechanical problems that are unknown to anyone i have asked help from so i just wanted to know ### parts would need changed for me to put a turbo on a n/t engine because i have a n/t engine as well and would like to do this as easily as possible

IMO its not worth it because the N/T motor internals just isnt ready to handle boost, especially if your looking to upgrade parts down the line...

If your internals aren't too worn or "blown" then you need to switch those over but if not, your going to need the internals both head and block from a turbo motor (excluding oil squirters)

What exactly happened to your original motor? maybe salvagable unless theres a hole in the block :tease:

Off the top of my head I'd say you need: oil pan from a turbo motor and front water pipe from a turbo motor and from what I understand the n/t block does not have a boss to screw the knock sensor into. I think your biggest issue will be getting the n/t motor to hold up to boost.

I wouldnt expect to run more than 10psi due to the weaker pistons. People do use the n/t block for buildups all the time. The heads are the same except for cams and one is same just need to be reversed. But yes the oil pan youll need and water pipe.
