Harmonic balancer prevent from starting?

No the balancer has nothing to do with that. Ide look in to the cas sensor. Check the wires. Also these cars have a crank sensor.

I dont know what else to tell you, there is not much onformation there to go off of.

I suppose anything's possible if the harmonic balancer is physically banging into sensors or some such, but otherwise, no

My car has hard time sparking, sparks when it wants. Could this be the harmonic balancer, throwing the cam and crank sensor off andb preventing it from starting?

no. the crank sensor is a reluctor wheel located inside the crankcase one before the first main weight. the cas is, well on the exhaust cam.

sounds like you have high resistance in your ignition circuit, or a bad coil. test the coil, your wires and make sure your plugs are the proper set for your application.

you may also want to to a compression test, and make sure your CKP (crank position sensor) is in good working order.

how are you testing for spark now? if you are just pulling wires off the plug and letting it arc, it could be "tracking" the coil, causing the spark energy to travel back through the coil and arcing across the windings, in effect ruining the coil.

do some tests, and get back to us.
