Hard starts still continue please help!

hello thanks for viewing my post

i have a 1g eagle talon that has been experiencing hard starts

i have recently changed

- coolant temp sensor
- mass air flow sensor


What else could be causeing this i havent worked on dsm much so if you guys can please help me find the cause id appreciate it thanks!

it only starts with starting fluid and it does stay running and idles good.

and the colder it is the harder it is to start

is there anything else that can contribute to this

Have you checked your fuel pump relay, possibly bad fuel pump, sounds like a fuel issue.

if its cold, it wont start at all without starting fluid. when the car has been running and left off to go into the store or something it starts right up. its weird idk what else could be the cause beside the CTS. and i already changed it. and i changed my maf too

really appreciate the help and suggestions. i haven't cheeked it but the car stays running fine once it starts up. would that still be a fuel problem? another thing to the car is ruining rich.

Running rich, is the cts new? Possilby a bad battery, is the maf tested? Do you have any codes?

From ypur previous post you have a leak. This will drop fuel pressure before a startup. This may be why it starts immediately at the store. Hasnt had timeto drop pressure yet. Prime the system with the check comnector before a cold start. Fix that leak.

The CTS is new i got it from napa. The MAF is used but properly working , Battery is old ass hell its from 2010 so 4 years old. would that cause a hard start? the car cranks strong even though the cars been sitting. you think it be a bad battery?

Could be anything fix that leak like we mentioned then check the battery, but fix that leak.

AHHH yeah you are right, i didn't think of that , that it was losing fuel pressure thanks man! ima fix that leak and get my battery cheeks hopefully it works really appreciate the help! thanks il post something up once the car is runing thanks so much.!

I just went threw the same thing. Check your cts wires, follow them the whole way back and make sure they are not cut, bare or broken at any point.

Thanks guys i appreciate the help, i stopped my leak with a new washer. i have rewired my CTS like a week ago cause the connector was covered in grease i put spade connectors , so im pretty sure that is fine would be a good idea though to go through the wiring i am going to do that.

what was your guys is solution to the problem? this problem sucks!!

i was going to crank it last night when i put my washer in but my battery was to low n i dont have jumper cables.
