1G Hard Intercooler Piping + powder coat

Ordered some hard pipes for my 1g.

Do u guys paint the inside too? I was thinking better flow. What do u guys think?

I wouldn't. God forbid it starts chipping it will just go into the intake, ect. Somewhat unlikely but still. Plus it would be extremely hard to get a good even coat in some of the longer bends.

you could always get a long flex rod and run a polishing ball through it with a drill. but i dont think you will really benefit much aside from knowing you cleaned it really well...

I doubt that there will be any noticeable difference anyways.

It would actually hurt your flow by making the cross sectional area smaller by the coating thickness squared time pi, which is more than you'd guess.

Ehh.... Suprisingly a 2.25 pipe is enough for a 2l turning 9000rpm.

Powdercoat is for lawn furniture. I've seen many engines with damage from blast media, and loose powdercoat.

Interesting. I really wasn't looking for any HP gains at all. Car is stock anyway.was more looking for feedback about any potential bad side affects from coating the inside. Better not then.
