You can get a used 2g mas for pretty cheap and its alot more reliable then a MAF-T setup.

i agree...

2g mas........................$30-60
plug and play harness...$20-50 (some girl made me one for $20, let me know)
intake pipe...................homemade-$20-35.......dejon tool....$90-170-shop around
filter............................$30-50 shop around

i spent around $115 total :rocks:

well i went to a local shop (www.turbotrix.com) and they told me ,that gm maf and maft are way better to go then 2g mass, cause the reason why they said that gm maf setup is more effective in the future mods then 2g mass is that true or not?? i think those guys know what r they doing but i want to be sure

to tell you the truth, i dont know much about maft and things of that nature, but the reason why i went with the 2g mas is because:

1. simple, effective, and A LOT cheaper
2. flows a TON more air than 1g mas
3. wanted to actually do something myself (intake pipe etc)
4. from my understanding, besides better flow, maft is also used for tuning purposes. one day, i will get dsmlink and didnt think that there is any purpose of having maft

oh man that A/F wideband technology is a really good feature! it keeps the a/f that you want!

well from the description, the fuel adjusting features of the MAFT really sound identical to what SAFC can do. anyone have any input about this?

Option #2 is the original, option #1 is the newer version with the WB input feature. If I was buying a MAF-T it would be option #1.

A 2G MAS will carry you well into the 400WHP range, so your goals should be considered. Why pay for something if you're not getting your moneys worth back?

And a little insight on the 2G MAS install (although you probably have already seen it).
