i am not sure, but i think its when u chop the tube from your bov to the intake off(inside the intake pipe/hose or whate ever you call it)

because it takes up alot of space causing less flow for your turbo, its to make your car quiter, for old farts who don't appriciate how an engine sounds.

Maf Hacking... This happens on the first gen's and is a nice mod for them and it's free.
