h4 conversion kit ???

I just installed an h4 conversion kit on my 90 Talon. I got the kit off of e-bay and they sent bulbs that were painted blue so I thought they would be cool and good light. But when I put them in and took it for a drive at night I could barely see anything. The lights looked bright in the driveway but were not that good on the road. I aimed them on a wall and that made it a little better, but the light doesnt seem to go as far as the stock ones did. Is that cause the housing is crap or are just the bulbs crap? If anyone knows the answer it would be nice cause it is kinda hard to see well at night.

I got a set off ebay also... Haven't installed them yet but I believe its because of the bulbs... I plan on getting real HID Conversion kit this winter... Well my g/f is getting it for me for Christmas I'm sure the bulbs make a difference, but the housing also does too.

Well you took a normal halogen bulb, which doesnt have the best light output to begin with, and put paint on it. That would be why your light output stinks. Think of the guys that put the blackout covers on their headlights. Of course your output is going to drop. If you want the real HID look and the light, then drop the money and do the HID conversion.

dont get that ghetto blue bulb crap, you wont see shiet with them.
